Adams Wife’s Weblog

The Adventures of Adams’ Eve

I have contemplated what I could write here that would tell you something about me and about the site that you haven’t already learned.  I think the 101 Things About Me page pretty well covers all you ever wanted to know about me and then some.  So - about this blog.

I began blogging in order to fill up my days.  I have been afflicted with all manner of illnesses for the past 16 years.  These have become progressively worse and have made it impossible for me to work any longer, or even to do such simple social things as to attend church every week or meet with my book club once a month.  I like people and missed the daily contact with other employees, etc.  So I happened into the blogosphere.  It took me a few weeks to get started - but then I was off and running and never looked back.

In addition to a new-found enjoyment in writing my blog, I soon began to take pictures to add to my stories and posts.  Another way to take me out of my misery and into the world around me.  Things look different through the eye of a camera.

So the mission of this blog is mainly to keep me occupied and connected to the world around me.  I’m not one to take defeat without a struggle.  And so I have fought against my health problems.  I continue to look for ways to be stronger and healthier - to defeat the problems that would reduce me to invalid status if I did not fight back.  From time to time I post about these struggles also.

I am a deeply religious person - my faith in God is the most precious of my possessions.  From time to time I will make a post about that, too.  However, I consider my dealings with My Father and His Son to be sacred, so I do not bring them out to be ridiculed or scoffed at, but hold them close to my heart.  If you do not see a plethora of posts about my relationship with God this is the reason.  But never doubt that Jesus Christ is my constant guide and companion and that I love Him.  What’s more, I know that He loves me.
