A Survey for those of us who have lived a little

Tired of all of those surveys made up by high school kids? Here are questions for the people who are a little older…(Not sayin’ we’re OLD, just more “mature!”)

1. What bill do you hate paying the most?  Electric

2. Do you miss being a child?  Yes!

3. Chore you hate the most?  Cleaning the toilet

4. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?   That would be here at home, the last time I was able to take Ed out of the nursing home.  The kids were out for the evening.  I fixed dinner for us and then we sat together on the couch and watched “Wild Hogs.”

5. If you could go back and change one thing you’ve done, what would it be?    I’d be less shy in high school.

6. Name of your first grade teacher?   I can’t remember.  Miss Somebody-or-other

7.What do you really want to be doing right now?   Reading

8. What did you want to be when you grew up?    All I ever wanted to be was a loving wife and mom♥

9. How many colleges did you attend? Three

10. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?   I’m still in my jammies - the shirt matches the bottom

11. What are your thoughts on gas prices? DOMESTIC OIL OR alternate fuel. We need to be more self-sustaining.

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?   The only alarm I have is my grandkids.  Of course, I thought “little darlings.” Â

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?   Turn out the light.

14. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?    Charlie Gibson

15. Have you ever crashed and totaled your vehicle?   No.  Got hit by a drunk driver once - that totaled the car.

16. If you didn’t have to work, would you volunteer?   I don’t work.  I have volunteered at other times.  Not reliable enough now with my health problems.

17. Get up early or sleep in? Sleep in.

18. What is your favorite cartoon character?   I still love Mighty Mouse.  “Here I come to save the day.”

19. Favorite G-rated thing to do at night with a guy/girl?   Dance

20. When did you first start feeling old?   When I couldn’t do what I wanted to do because of interfering health problems.

21. Favorite lunch meat?   Pastrami

22. What do you get every time you go into Wal-Mart?   I try to avoid Wal-Mart.  I much prefer WinCo.

23. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?   Definitely not!

24. Favorite movie you wouldn’t want anyone to find out about?   I don’t have a favorite that I wouldn’t recommend to all my friends.

25. What’s your favorite drink?    Root Beer shake
26. Whom from high school would you like to run into?   I reconnected with all my friends at the class reunion two years ago.  I keep track of them through our class website and FaceBook.

27. What radio station is your car radio tuned to right now?    100.5 KBYI

28. Worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back?   My first marriage?

29. Last book you finished reading?    Witness in Death by J D Robb

30. Do you have a teddy bear?   Yes

31.One thing you couldn’t live without?   My Kindle.

32. Do you go to church?   Whenever I can

33. How old are you?   60

I feel the need to acknowledge this day.  But I can’t find any words to express what I am feeling.  Perhaps it’s enough just to think my own, private thoughts.  I hope you will be inspired to think, too.
