happy halloween  Happy Halloween!  Don’t eat too much candy and get a tummy ache.  Enjoy all the little ghosts and goblins who stop by. I’m going to take some goodies over to the nursing home so the grandkids can come by and trick or treat at grandpa’s room.  Hope he’s having a good day.

cloudpumpkhugs.jpg  Went to church with my sis this morning.  She has the children 18 months to 3 years of age.  I fit in well with that age group.  :)  We sing songs and play games.  Today we decorated bags and graham crackers for Halloween.  So much fun to play with the little ones.

Went to a football game with my sis this afternoon.  Our boys were playing in State tournaments.  We won.   34-0.  Way to go Indians!!  It was a beautiful afternoon, lots of sunshine and a bit of a breeze.  Perfect football weather.

Good Morning!  I am having a good day.  Feeling stronger than I usually do lately.  I saw my gastroenterologist yesterday.  It is his opinion that I am still being affected by the cryptosporidium.  He has given me another round of the antibiotic, to be taken for a full ten days.  He said sometimes it is just really difficult to get rid of.  He also told me he is working on becoming certified as a bariatric physician.  In another 6 months he will be in a position to help me with weight loss.  I had asked him about the lap-band surgery.  He thinks we should try some less invasive weight-loss helps before considering surgery.  I don’t meet the required 100 pounds or more above desired weight that is one criteria for having the surgery.  I would like to avoid any further surgeries for the rest of my life if possible.  I’ve had more than my allotted quota of surgical proceedures already.

Today I am going to spend the day with my favorite cousin.  We always laugh a lot when we get together.  I’m going to show her how to set up a spreadsheet then we’re going out for lunch and maybe some shopping.  It is my brother-in-law’s birthday so I’m going to a candy shop to get him some cherry chocolates.  Then we may check out the dress shop, too.  It’s gonna be fun!

Good Morning!  Today I have to drive to Twin Falls so that I can see the gastro tomorrow.  We should have good weather for driving.  In Twin Falls the high today is supposed to be 71.  Just gotta get going before the sun swings around to the west and blinds me.

magnets.gif I love this cartoon. I think it’s always good to start the week with a laugh. Today I have a nail appointment. I’m not sure what I will wear as I’m having one of those “my clothes make me hurt” days. I’ve got to increase my wardrobe of loose-fitting dresses and jumpers. Not the sexiest fashion statement, but I gave up sex long ago. lol If I were in positive mode I would declare now that it is going to be a great day. I have discovered that 8:45 am is much too early in the day to make that kind of assumption. ;)

I love to read, and mysteries are my favorites.  I’m currently in love with Stephanie Plum, a character created by Janet Evanovich.  Stephanie is a comfort eater, a totally incompetent Bounty Hunter who manages somehow to always get her man, and she has a family that is screwier than anyone I’ve ever known personally.  I’m sure she would make even the most dysfunctional family say, “At least we’re not like them.” lol And, of course, she makes me laugh.  I have other favorite writers but none of them can match Evanovich for the combination of mystery, comedy, and sexual tension.  The only drawback to reading the Plum novels is that I always want cake and doughnuts.  I don’t even like cake and doughnuts that much, but it’s such a constant theme that it makes me hungry. ;)

goodmorningteacup.jpgGood Morning! I woke up this morning with my right hand asleep and my left shoulder aching. Not a great start to the day, but better than some I’ve had recently. So far today I am feeling better than I have become accustomed to. It’s still too early to know what the day holds weather-wise. It is the Sabbath day, which always makes it special to me. If I continue to feel well I’ll be going to the nursing home to attend Sunday Services with Ed. I stopped in to see him yesterday, but he was sleeping and didn’t want to wake up to visit with me. I thought I was arriving close enough to supper time that he would be up and moving. Guess I miscalculated, again.

cloudpumpkhugs.jpgI never thought Friday would have any special meaning for me once I was out of the workforce. It does. Fridays still create anticipation. What will the weekend bring? Is there anything I need to do to prepare for a good time? Visits to make? Shopping to be done? Phone calls to friends who work all week? So, happy Friday to those who go to work and those who stay home.

Blue Rose Morning

It’s Thursday again. We’ve had a bit of rain and the high temps have dropped into the 40’s. However, it’s supposed to warm up again by next week into the 60’s maybe. That would be good as I have to make the trip to Twin Falls to visit my gastro the 25th. I finally finished up all the paperwork I’ve been procrastinating for the last several weeks. I just find it very hard to concentrate on paperwork when I’m fighting parasites and bladder infections. Go figure! lol
